Hithe + Seek At The Westin London City Hotel
Hithe + Seek is the place to be on National Drink Wine Day – not only is it gorgeous but there’s more than 80 bottles to choose from. Once you’ve chosen your poison, sit back and relax whilst looking out onto some seriously stunning views of the River Thames and Shakespeare’s Globe. If you didn’t think it could get much better, they’ve even got a tasty food menu that includes decadent dishes such as grilled octopus and venison tartare. Get ready for the ultimate boozy and foodie experience.
Vagabond – Various Vino Venues Across The Capital
If it’s wine you’re after on 18th February, then you’ll need to check out Vagabond. Explore more than 120 different wines by using their PYO (pour your own) taps. There’s a whopping eight venues to pick from too, each with their own features making each one unique. If it’s panoramic views you’re after though, then head to the Canary Wharf (you won’t regret it), or visit the Battersea bar to explore their very own in house winery.
Sabine Rooftop Bar
Fancy sipping wine at a garden oasis that looks over St Paul’s Cathedral? Silly question – of course you do. Sabine Rooftop Bar allows you to do exactly that. Lap up the lavish lifestyle whilst sipping on a glass (or pouring a bottle) of rosé on their outdoor terrace, perfect for those needing a much needed respite from the business of the city below. If you find yourself getting a bit peckish, then why not try some of the light bites they have on offer to top off your experience – wine not?
Searcys At The Gherkin
Venture up The Gherkin – one of London’s most iconic landmarks – this February and step inside Searcy’s for wine, with a dash of decadence. This gorgeous space allows you to watch the sunset over the city skyline whilst you sip your wine, eat some tasty bites and catch up with friends. The bar is situated on the 40th floor, meaning you’ll be drinking directly under the transparent dome at the top of the building – there’s no better way to spend National Drink Wine Day.
Daly’s Wine Bar
As National Drink Wine Day falls on a Saturday this year, you may be looking for a spot that allows you to sit back and relax. Known for its after dark charm, Daly’s Wine Bar is just the place – it’s laid back, has three separate dining rooms to choose from (if you’re in a group), and it has more than 20 bottles of international wine to indulge in. You may wish to pair your wine with a spot of food when you arrive; if so, you’re in luck. Their charcuterie board is a must when having a cheeky tipple and they have a full menu if you’re looking for something more substantial.
The Bloomsbury Club Bar
The Bloomsbury Club Bar is one of London’s hidden gems – the bar doubles as a secret grotto and it’s covered in foliage tangled with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights. They have a neat selection of wine to whet your whistle and they even have live music – think everything jazz, blues, and soul – which occurs every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. If you’re feeling a little hungry when you visit, feast on one of their cheese boards – cause let’s face it, there’s nothing better than pairing wine and fromage.
Cabotte
Expand your wine knowledge by visiting Cabotte – a fancy little French bar and restaurant right near St Paul’s. Their wine list is never ending, with each bottle having a different story to tell. These guys are picky about where they get their wine from (so you know it’s gonna be good) and they only select the finest produce from Burgundy’s leading vineyards. Pair your wine with some classic French dishes, it will transport you straight to France without having to fork out loads on flights.
The White Horse
This traditional pub in Mayfair has been transformed into a wine lover’s dream. It’s elegant, it’s boujee and it has a wine list that has been meticulously curated by Hedonism Wines – you know you can always trust the experts. Spend this National Drink Wine Day in their cosy basement bar that’s the perfect place to bring a date or your nearest and dearest if you fancy a catch-up. If you have a great time (which is obviously guaranteed) make sure you head back for one of their renowned wine tasting sessions.
The Prosecco House
Are you a fan of all things bubbles and fizz? Then get yourself down to the Prosecco House this National Drink Wine Day. Despite the name, they’ve got a plethora of whites, reds, rosés and (of course) proseccos to choose from, all of which have been sourced from five different vineyards. Pair your chosen juice with some succulent Italian mears, an array of cheese as well as some seriously tasty sharing platters. It’s right beside Tower Bridge too, so you can drop by one of London’s most famous landmarks on your way home.
